UPCOMING

Square Peg came to the Norwich Arts Centre in October for one night only after receiving national acclaim.

The one-man show from Norfolk-born playwright Simeon Morris draws on his own lived experience to shine a light on the realities of masculinity, gender identity and self-acceptance.

The performance was a resounding success and the venue staff were wonderful and welcoming, especially my talented tech operator Conor Etteridge who made everything run so smoothly.

I’m looking forward to bringing another show there in the future.

Square Peg – Teaser Trailer, Ed Fringe, 2023

“It is rare you see a show that has as much heart to it as Square peg. There wasn’t a single audience member who wasn’t hanging on to every word Simeon said. An incredibly personal story I wish everyone could hear!”
“My favourite type of theatre is when you know no one else could make what you’re watching and this is that! A beautifully heartfelt insight into the man on the stage.”
“A wonderfully thoughtful and thoroughly insightful show. I went to see it twice and the second performance was just as delightful as the first. Sims ability and versatile approach to capture the audience with humour and honesty was utterly brilliant.”
“A truly unique piece of new theatre, raw and real and fantastically moving”

ABOUT

Simeon Morris is an actor and performer hailing from Norwich, Norfolk. A recent graduate of the MA for Acting course at East 15 where he trained in acting for stage and screen, physical theatre, Laban, voice, movement and stage combat.

Having spent many years as a fashion designer, pattern cutter, costumier and most recently a leatherworker, he grew tired of using his hands to make objects and instead turned his attention to using all of his body and voice to tell stories. He believes that there is nothing more moving than a shared human experience; told in such a way as to touch the hearts and minds of both audience and performer alike; this is what brings us together and unites us.
